Founded in 1869 by Austrian and Polish specialists, Electroputere VFU Pascani SA, member of the Grampet Group, is one of the most important companies on the rolling stock market in Romania.
The initial purpose of the company was to provide maintenance services for railway vehicles. With the privatization, the segment of the modernization of railway vehicles was strategically approached, a segment in which Electroputere VFU Pascani is the market leader in Romania.
As a result of numerous investments in technology, know-how and human resources and based on the experience gained from reconstructions and modernizations, the company entered a new stage of development: the construction of railway vehicles. To mark this transition, the company's name was changed from REMAR (Rolling Stock Repairs) to Electroputere VFU Pascani.
